Release Workspace Expo
Dear exhibitors, dear partners,
Workspace Expo is Europe’s largest annual exhibition dedicated to design, furniture and workspace planning.
For more than 8 years, the Weyou Group teams have always had the stated objective of bringing together all the market players, manufacturers, distributors, contractors, architects, space planners, and partners in order to enable them to meet in the best possible conditions to exchange, develop their relationships and perpetuate their activity.
All this to be the most relevant platform of the market and to support it.
In fact, Workspace Expo has been growing by more than 30% per year for the last 4 years.
However, according to the latest information, the epidemic is progressing again despite the various additional local measures, particularly concerning the wearing of masks, and according to data from Public Health France, contaminations are on the rise and the incidence rate is rising, particularly in Paris where the high population density is an aggravating factor in the circulation of the virus. In this respect, the scientific committee warned in its last report that France is “in a fragile situation, with an upsurge in the circulation of the virus” which could “tip at any moment into a less controlled scenario” so that the Prime Minister has just announced the extension, until October the 30th, of the temporary ban on gatherings of more than 5,000 people, unless a prefectural dispensation is granted, which was initially due to expire at the end of August.
We are also hearing from many of our exhibitors who, in view of the current public statements and their organizational and economic difficulties, are asking us to postpone our show to allow them to participate.
In this context, we believe that it is no longer possible to ensure the conditions for serene and beneficial business meetings, safety and health security that we must offer for a Parisian trade show of the importance of Workspace Expo. So, the show is postponed to March 2021.
We are aware of the stakes involved in a market in full mutation which requires unity and cohesion of all the players, essential factors for the sustainability of the sector.
The new dates have therefore been studied with the utmost care to postpone the show to the most opportune time for you, in harmony with the sector’s business cycles, in order to ensure the best conditions for economic recovery.
Workspace Expo has therefore been postponed and will be held from the 30th, 31st of March and the 1st of April 2021 in Pavilion 1 of the Porte de Versailles in Paris.
The next event in the sector will be Workplace Meetings, the one-to-one exhibition for office layout, facility management and purchasing, a complementary event offering real business opportunities. It will take place in Cannes on the 24th, 25th and 26th of November 2020.
